LK65 & lk69 Rugs
The Louis Kahn Collection’s rugs highlight the process and craft of Kahn’s architecture, finding unexpected beauty in the practice itself.
The LK69 Rochester Rug is inspired by wall tapestries designed for the First Unitarian Church in Rochester, New York, taking its cut-pile pattern from an enlarged section of Kahn’s original hand-drawn weave. Loom-knotted from 100 per cent virgin New Zealand wool, renowned for its durability and softness, the substantial pile height balances comfort with the resilience demands of high-use environments.
